I have Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 on both this main PC and also on my laptop.
Is there anyway that I can transfer my "Contacts" across to the laptop, still retaining them on the main PC?
I don't particularly want to have to type them all in again.
Thanks

You can export them out of your PC to say a usb stick then import them to your laptop.

Hi,

You will be better to use the backup feature. Backup the files to flash stick or disk and move the file to the other pc. On the other pc open backup and restore the file to the pc.
That way you have all the existing data from A to B.

Regards

Graham

You can email them to yourself as a file and drag them into your contacts on the other machine. I can't remember how at the moment as I don't have Outlook on this machine.

You should be able to go to the FILE menu at the top left of the outlook screen, select, IMPORT/EXPORT, Select EXPORT TO A FILE and then select Personal Folder File (PST). Then select what you want to export, in you case probably the CONTACTS folder. Save the exported file to your desktop or directly onto a memory stick or if your really clever across the network to the target PC. Once you have the exported file on the other PC open Outlook go to FILE, IMPORT EXPORT, IMPORT FROM ANOTHER PROGRAM OR FILE, scroll down the list and select PERSONAL FOLDER FILE (PST) and then browse to the file you copied across and finish.

There are quite a few versions of Outlook so these instructions may vary slightly.

Cheers

I think that's what I used only I attached the file and sent it by email. It could then be dragged and dropped.
