Hi Kev

does the driver actually successfully install or does it give you an error?

does the link below help? it's entitled 'EasyCap Ulead Vista Fix. How to use EasyCap Ulead in Vista', it's a video tutorial.

As an believer in the 'bleedin obvious' ...

With XP and Vista you get Windows Movie Maker.

I have read varying reviews, but some say that it does work.

Which leaves only the problem of the driver between the cable from your camera and the capture function of the software.

I haven't tried any of this (used firewire to capture from my canon tapes) but is there a microsoft driver which will do the trick ?

Regards ... LeoK

Isn't it bleedin obvious that I could never be a politician !

If there is, it's very well hidden, there are drivers for Vista 32 bit, but not 64 bit.

I just tried it on a Vista 32 bit system, still no joy, although the Ulead software seems to work ok with the webcam.

Seller says it should work, it's a good job these to$$er$ stay well out of slapping range.

Are you using it with Windows Vista? is it 64 or 32 bit? will it grab images from tape type analogue video cameras? sorry for the daft questions.

Hi Kev.
It works on my laptop with Vista and also on my desk top with XP.
I then use Cyberlink Power Director to make the DVD either from my Digital Video Camera, or using the KWorld dvd maker to grab my Sony analogue super 8 tape straight off my Sony recorder.
I have been able to digitise all my old home movies I have shot over the years to make into DVD's instead of VHS tapes.

The Cyberlink Power Director finds all the scenes even when loaded from the anologue tape so you can edit, put sound tracks and add effects etc, but it is memory hungry so you do need quite a bit of space on what ever puter you are using.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Ray,

That's brilliant, if I can send this piece of junk back, I'll hot foot it to Maplins, if they have any in stock.
