For anyone wanting to improve their pictures it is worth googling photographic rules. This will give you an understanding if what works and why. You can then break the rules when you understand why they are there.
I am no expert just a keen amateur, but you all know the feeling that I am about to talk about. You have taken a load of photos because you were excited by what you had seen on the day. When you get home and look at them some are boring and perhaps one or two are exciting and pleasurable to look at, but you don't know why!
The reason will almost certainly be you have obeyed one of the rules, but the trouble is you have no idea. This is why reading and understanding them is useful.
Don't have the time to explain any more today, but do a bit of research if it interests you.
