Morrisons are also selling own brand inks, most likely same as Tesco with different label. I'm using them in my Canon printer, can't see any difference from the branded inks.
I bought my youngest grand-daughter an all-in-one printer, it was on special offer at Tesco. I then discovered that a pair ink cartridges, 1 Black and 1 Coloured cost almost as much as the printer. Again a quick trip to Morrisons solved the problem at about 10% of the cost.
I have an epson printer and always use recycled cartridges and, up to now, have never had any problems with using this type. I get them from the following link
http://www.inkcycle.co.uk
A To27 recycled cartidge costs £3.65 and an epson original costs £26.49 .
I've no T027's I'm afraid but I have a drawerful of T007 and T008 compatibles.
If anyone can use them and is willing to pay the P&P they can have them.
They were good enough to produce prints that won Club competitions and cost me 99p each.
Re: Epson ink cartridges - any decent look-alikes?
I need to get a new T027 colour cartridge which retails at around £33.
There are a number of cheapo refills on the market but those that I've tried before are worse than useless but that was a while ago.
Are there any available now that do a half decent job?
I rarely use my printer and I'm not looking for a very high performance.
The biggest problem with generic cartidges is if they are not used very often they are much more prone to clog an epson's print heads. Since you say you don't use yours much a genuine cartridge would be cheaper than a new printer. If you find a generic one that suits your colour requirements, then it's best if you run a test page every 2/3 days. it will make all the difference.
I used to use small /medium format printers in my buisness, sometimes a cartridge a day!!
