Here is an update.
Got some good prices from the Axel web site, not all there prices were as competitive as you can get in the UK. But their crank price is good.
Took the head in for pressure test and it looks like a water leak into the cylinder has pitted and cracked the head, so, a cracked head and the crankshaft broke in two, means another engine.

I still have not been able to confirm or deny wether a 2.5td will replace the 1.9td. I am sure it will if I get the mounting brackets and the gearbox along with the engine.
Does anyone want to shed any light on this?

As for the cause of the problem, it seems it was a water leak into the cylinder and not the broken oil hose pipe. Drat and double drat Evil or Very Mad
So all these years of meditation are keeping me detached, should have listened to the voice saying "don't buy it". Problem with that is, it was my wife Exclamation Rolling Eyes
