Use a credit card to pay any deposit, it will give you some security should the supplier go under
There are some interesting layouts coming over from Germany (Globecar) and also take a look at Westphalia Roy Wood Transits
If you are a newbie to MHing a good tip is to check doors etc for rattles while stationary, because on the move they are an orchestra of unwelcome noise
We've just purchased a Devon Aztec MWB. We're not usually that impulsive at shows, etc but this one felt right somehow - it'll need some custom tweaks from myself to make it feel more cosmetically pleasing (a bit basic at moment). I'll let you know how we get on. The warranty distance was a worry for us (six hour round trip) but they said any motorhome dealer would look at it under the warranty - can't see it myself - we'll see !!!
Is the judder problem STILL an issue ? Just reverse, right ?

The Fiat side can be looked at by any Fiat dealer, the judder issue should have been fixed, call Fiat and ask them directly what if any mods have been done on your chassis number, also check the date the warranty starts with them if a new van, they will change to reflect the delivery date as opposed to the date it was delivered to the converter
Hi 2dogs,we took delivery of a Devon Aztec with 3 litre engine and comfortmatic transmission on Sept 3rd, so it's a little early for me to comment on quality, althouh I have been crawling all over it since I got it ,doing the detail planning of the various little modifications we (my wife and I ) inevitably make to any vehicle we buy. So far I have found that it seems to be built to a satisfactory standard. Obviously there will be the odd minor glitch which I am sure I can fix myself or get the supplier to fix. The real test will come with use and I will report further in due course. Meanwhile happy hunting!!
Hi jocie,
how have you found your Aztec we are looking at one second hand and would like to know if the build quality an the auto gear box are all OK.
Hi 2dogs, At Shepton Mallet did you see the Mandale liberte?. build quality is akin to Vantage with customer service very high on their list of priorities. I have recently visited their workshop where i was treated superbly, nothing is too much of an effort for them. Being a bespoke converter the team can modify most things to fit your needs..
Their prices are amazing too... Yes, I have ordered one.
