Hi,
Wonder if anyone knows where we could get some reversing sensors for the van,the only ones we can find are suitable for cars.
Thanks |

Hi hymmi!
Try Waeco here:

The ones most suited are, I believe, MAGIC WATCH systems with DSM function (whatever that is!):
MW-650-4DSM, MWE-650-4DSM, MWE-850-4DSM
(Reversing systems with 4 sensors and acoustic or acoustic/visual warning function. Can be supplied with built-in or sub-mounted sensors. Especially suitable for larger vehicles/utility vehicles. )
or MAGIC WATCH radio-based reversing sensors:
MW-1000-4FM, MWE-1000-4FM
(The description is in German)
They often do 'special offers' and 'ends of line' cheaper, so worth checking their site regularly.
They supply 'original equipment' to vehicle manufacturers, so their stuff is pretty good.
I've bought from Waeco in the past, and found them a good company (they're down in Dorset). |

Further to the above, the Waeco UK site (price list, etc) is here;

You'll also find the on-line shop and the special offers here, too. |

| I fitted a standard "wireless" system with 4 sensors. I set the sensors into 50mm plastic trunking placed across the rear of the motorcaravan. The system cost £50 from ebay. |

I spotted these from LeisurePower (from whom we get a 5% discount, thanks to MandyandDave) - a bit cheaper than Waeco:

Hi Hymmi,
An alternative to consider.
If you are fitting a rear view camera, mount it low down and why do you need rear sensors?
Works for me!

Had SPAL sensors fitted at AS. Very simple ysytem and just a buzzer in a rear cupboard.
When I got the instructions and have since looked at the installation its a piece of cake. Basically just an earth and a lead to the reversing swtch for operation. I did not want pretty dashboard graphics my eyes are on mirrors at this time!
Hope this helps.

Hi ,
Thanks for all your help knew you would sort it.
Dave has put them on the car and would like them on van,but a seller on e-bay said ordinary ones would not have the range for the length of the van.
So have plenty of options now, thanks again. |
