I use a Logitech wireless mouse with the connection to the PC via a USB connector. I have had it for a couple of years and it has never caused any problems until now.
Using the mouse keys, I cant drag & drop, copy& paste, highlight mulpiple cells in Excel etc.
I have tried new batteries with no effect.
Using the old cabled USB mouse, which I don't want to, solves all the problems (except it won't scroll with the wheel)
I presume you have pressed the "Connect" buttons on both the mouse and the receiver gadget??
Mine went a bit wobbly once so I disconnected the receiver (if that's what it is called?) from the computer, took the batteries out of the mouse, then re-assembled everything and pressed the said "connect" buttons, and it came back to life.
Bet you have already done it - but worth mentioning!

Are you telling us everything,,You have not changed your pc or anything like that, if not, then I would disconnect the receiving unit that plugs into the pc, and remove all batteries from mouse and receiver, for a minimum of 1 minute, preferably longer, reassemble and plug in again, if that doesn't work, I would be down the local pc emporium purchasing a new one.

Have you tried re-installing the drivers for the mouse? Did it come with a CD? From memory logitech also have the drivers on their web site for download. That way you will get the up-to-date ones.
Maybe worth a try especially as the wired one is working OK!
