Hi
Can anyone help me with my pda, the screen does not respond all of the time to inputs,at the moment it's stuck on the "screen Align" screen. I have spoken to HP they tell me it's probably the "TP" of the screen and not the whole screen. Any ideas please on where or how to get this fixed.

Ron

Working from memory here. Have you tried a "hard reset"? Depending on model I think it should be as follows.....

Hold the calendar and itask buttons and whilst holding push the pen into the reset hole.

There is also a reset that resets to factory setting but I can't remember how to do it. These are both different from just pushing the pen into the reset hole.

Be careful at least one of these resets clears all data in the device.

Hope that helps

Keith

this align screen :- does it show some crosses on it - say at each corner & possibly one in the middle ?

if it does then it is expecting you to touch the centre of each cross with the pen so that you can align the screen to the system. especially important if you have the touch screen pda

start with the centre one then work around the outer ones

If your PDA needs repair I can recommend this repairer:

http://www.ipaqrepair.co.uk/index.php

They repaired and returned my PDA within a couple of days at very reasonable cost.

Phoned the said company placed an order for new glass, at this point it was on my knee finished on the phone front door bell rang, me I got up bang went the pda to the floor [bad enough] then I stood on the flaming thing now it's totally naffed backed up by Ipaqrepair they said scrap it.

Thanks guys for your help.
