Great picture! We went there recently, also did stonehenge where a 4x4 camper got my attention, so I forgot the henge - and also woodhenge, nearby. Quite interesting, and older than stonehenge apparently.

Hi

We call in at Avebury whenever we get the chance, quite often we also stop at the Rollright Stones < to communicate Wink

I was surprised to find this almost exact same picture but taken in daylight on Google images, quite spooky ....it seems that spot you stood in to take your picture is a good un' it must be a favoured spot ... Rolling Eyes

Hi Spykal,

How bizarre is that! I suppose it had been photographed so many times it would be hard to take one from a new place so to speak.

I have been back there this evening and missed the sunset by a couple of minutes!!! However I have taken a number of shots that may be of use. Will check later.

Regards

Chris
