It's the MS Caribou a ferry that runs between Nova Scotia and Newfoundland a friend of mine uses it several times a year but never when it's like that.

Funny that, because actually that's the 'MS Suilven' (an ex Calmac vessel) departing Wellington NZ to cross the Cook Strait to the South Island. The Suilven clip has been on YouTube for years - strange that it got cloned as a different vessel.

I wouldn't know the difference myself and was sent it by someone who uses the North Sydney - Newfoundland route so obviously she didn't twig the difference either. Reading the youtube link someone on there appears to doubt it's identity as well.

Never mind, it's still too rough for me and has made me think twice about visiting South as well as North Island next year if the weathers bad.
