If you have checked the Scart connection then it could be something inside the tv that's gone.
We had the same problem on a different make and sent it back as it was only 6 months old and they sent us a new one.
I have a nearly new Meos dvd player in a boat, and although the picture was excellent I couldn't get sound. The cause was a voltage drop due to inadequate supply wire size on that side of the boat. (I could get sound only if the engine was running)
As soon as I rewired the boat with heavier cable the problem went away.
Thanks, but problem was in Jan, now solved, took TV to Meos office Rochester, sent by them to Germany, some(unspecified) part replaced, returned(FOC) in a week, now all OK.
I also have a boat and know about the stupidly thin wiring the builders use! Not mine cos its an old Westerly!
Very easy to diagnose, simply plug in the TV using the 240v adaptor supplied. Bingo works perfectly. Try again using 12v supply on the boat and again no sound. Conclusion insufficient volts/power in the boat's wiring.
Solution, rewired dedicated power supply from battery to TV and problem solved we have a TV and sound with no need to go to lip-reading school
Hi,
This post has saved me a load of time. I thought that when i Took the hook up out and the tv was running on 12 v that in someway some internal fusing had been blown and I was now stuch with a faulty tv.
Good to know the TV is fine and that it is the 12v cabling that I need to check!!!
Cheers
Adam
