Having only owned my Avantguarde 400 for less than a fortnight, ive been in there most days 'tarting and fixing'. This has included eliminating as many moving parts (potential knocks and rattles) for when we are in transit. Today ive come across the water tank, that was just basicaly 'sat' in the base of a cupboard. Whilst i dont think it would knock or rattle once full (empty, it certainly would impact against the timber surrounds + i dont think its a good idea to have a tank 'loose' under any circs, personaly), ive 'fixed' it into place by wedging it with foam strips. Job done.
My question is, what are the two electric leads for? Theres a thickish one that enters via the big cap on top, and another lighter one that enters over the far corner. (one has to be a pump?) Also, theres two tubes - one thicker than the other -im guessing overflow and feed to appliances, but which is which. As they both exit/enter from a high level. Unlike a CWS tank in your loft that feeds from the bottom - so its obvious which is which.

One of the pipes sounds like it is the outlet from a submerged pump and the other could be the overflow.

The thicker wire could be the power to the pump and the other may be to the water level sensor.

Can't be sure as I am not familiar withy your van.

one of the pipes will be routed to a hole in the floor, thats the overflow, the other is the feed pipe.
