does thing break the trading stds act ?

I agree our unit has not worked for over 3 months and we would of never know it was not working if we had not rang them to switch back from european cover

We payed for the 5 years cover £400 and since we found out its not been working we had to pay a extra £50 insurance cover . May have been better off getting one of those DIY kits off ebay.

All you get off phantom is contact the fitter who fitter it and if you don't get any joy off the fitting agent your stuffed.

I would never buy another one

Hi
I also have recently had problems with Phantom Proactive.

Ours was new in March 2009 and I have now had to have it removed because of constant alerts from data services (the people who monitor the system).
I have had another brand of tracker fitted but Phantom will not refund the remaining 8 months of my 1 year subscription even though it was the tracker at fault.

I also am not a happy bunny.

Perhaps Mark would like to respond to me as well. I did PM him about a month ago when the fault was apparent but had no reply. Not very good service in my opinion.

Update

After speaking to Russel at Phantom and explaing the problem he asked me to return the phantom back to him and he would replace the whole unit.

I fitted the tracker back into the van today then rang phantom to do a test and all is good.

Thankyou Russel if you read this thread.

We have a Phantom tracker in our m/h ................all good no problems at all other than the battery going flat in one of our alarm sensors creating false alarms.
