Hi,

Eriba is well known as constructor of caravans and mh..

The name Eriba is an abreviation of ERIch BAchem, a german engeneer who has working in WW 2 for the german Luftwaffe and develop an interceptor with the name of " Natter " ( Viper ).

After the WW2, mister Erwin Hymer, he was also aeronautic engeneer by Dornier, give order to Erich Bachem to draw conception plans for a modern caravan: the famous " PUCK " was born.

Hymer choice the name ERIBA ( Erich Bachem ) for this newcomer of caravan. ( 200.000 are produced successfull since 1956 ).
The plant of Erich Bachem was situated in Waldsee ( now Bad Waldsee ) the principal production aera of HYMER caravans and motorhome and number one in Europe
Erwin Hymer is been 75 year old last month...and alltime very busy...
