Hi

I spent a few nights in the Ogwen Valley last month, I stayed at Gwern Gof Isaf Farm, about 1 mile east of Llyn Ogwen. Wonderful views and good access to Tryfan, the Glyders and the Carneddau mountains. You can walk to them all from the site. The farm has showers and if you are happy to park in the farmyard, you can also get electric hook-up - throw the cable over the wall job. It is easy to cycle to Capel Curig or to Betwys-y-Coed from the site (although getting back from Betwys-y' is a bit harder work!)

There are big lay-bys on the shore of Llyn Ogwen, but it is a fast and busy road on the A5 - and in the Snowdonia National Park, they do not take kindly to wild camping - but I'm a bit boring like that and like to be on a quiet site.

Have fun.

Nigel
