This may be initially correct but the "your expense" part isn't - your contract is with the supplier and it is their responsibility to supply a product suitable for purpose and repairs (if necessary) to achieve that should be at their expense (inc. carriage both ways) not yours.

If it still doesn't work properly have a word with the Trading Standards Dept.

A warranty (whosoever supplies it) can only be in addition to your statutory rights.
