Can anyone explain how the status arial works. On 1st outing and couldnt get a signal on my telly. The box has 2 switches on. One of them makes a red light come on. Do i have to move the arial on the roof at all ???
If its anything like mine; you want the red light on, the other switch on 'NML' (normal), then very likely have to tune your telly to the area. If you get a picture and its distorted, you may be too near a transmitter, so try flicking the 'nml' switch to the other setting.

Im more miffed about them chopping 35 meters off my beautiful Belmont transmitter and relegating it away from its title as tallest transmitter in the UK Sad - damn Aquiva - thats my only annoyance so far with the digital switchover - and yes, I am a geek Laughing

And who said size isn't important?
Stupid thing we haveis that when Sandy Heath goes to DSO, the signal strength is decreased for 12 months until Crystal Palace switches. I have asked Digital UK for an explanation and they passed it to DTG and they have now passed it to Arquiva. Going to a conference at Dept for BIS week after next, hope to get some answers.
