We Have a Honda EU20i and it is very good runs the microwave or even a 2KW hair dryer no problem.

I dont bother carrying extra petrol in the van as I find the gennys tank gives me about 8 hours run time on Eco Throttle, which is enough for 5 to 6 nights use for use.
I then either fill the genny up at a petrol station on route or wait untill I get back home where I keep a 10Litre can to keep the genny refulled after each trip.
