I just want to praise this company and for anyone thinking of using them I cannot recommend them enough. Their products are first class and their service, we have found, to be both professional and customer friendly and the staff are truly, truly lovely.
We have recently upgraded the Oyster system that we have had for just over a year, to the Oyster twin LNB. This was because we wanted to be able to use Sky Plus in our motorhome and we are very pleased with it. It is wonderful to be able to use all the Sky plus facilities in our motorhome and has really increased and added to the whole luxury of motorhoming for us. It is a little more complicated to use than our last Oyster vision system - but we have had it about a month now and have managed to get the hang of it and now find it extremely easy to use and it is really good - my husband loves searching through the menu for all the different satellites that are available. The beauty of the twin LNB, besides being able to use Sky plus is that you can also pick up loads more satellites and if you do travel around Europe this gives you far more scope and means you can at least pick up a few english channels when you are in areas outside of the footprint for Astra 2.
We did have a slight problem with the new system and Transleisure were brilliant. We were due to take our motorhome in to them the following week to have a reversing camera fitted and so they sorted the problem out at the same time. Anyway, unfortuantely when we got home we still had a problem and Transleisure could not apologise enough and sent out an engineer to our home the very next day and changed the whole system over. Problem was solved and now works perfectly.
Transleisure have recently opened a new state of the art showroom in Newark (not that far from us) and it is really posh and this is where we got our upgrade and reversing camera done. They have facilities with EHU for overnight camping for customers who have to travel any distance and they also have (subject to availability) courtesy Smart cars for customers to use whilst work is being done on their vehicles. For anyone wishing to enquire about this system ask for a guy who who works there called Tim, I think he may be the manager of this new showroom but I am not sure about that, but if not, he certainly deserves to be cos he is so helpful and knowledgeable and a credit to Transleisure. If you do ring him tell him Mr and Mrs Gill recommended Transleisure to you. I personally cannot praise the Oyster System or the company enough and I am happy to give a personal reccomendation to anyone. If anyone wishes to know more I am quite happy to help.
By the way, just worth mentioning and just to show how Transleisure look after their customers we have been invited to an opening weekend for their new showroom which will include free camping on Newark showground for 3 days with a free shuttle bus service to and from the showroom during the day and on the friday and saturday night there will be free entertainment, a free meal and a free bar for everyone! Sounds good fun doesn't it?
Before anyone says anything, NO I do NOT work or have any links to Transleisure, I am just a very happy and satisfied customer who believes that if you have good service etc you should let everyone know because sadly today, good service is often rare to find!

Hi Sonesta. Happy that you are pleased with your set-up. But you don't need a Twin LNB to be able to watch any other satellite you care to search out and watch. You can still only watch at one Satellite position at a time. Just a thought.

Oh I realise that - but on our old Oyster we did not have the option to view so many different satellites. Plus this way we can use Sky plus which we also could not do on the other version.

Sonesta. Any Satellite system will work on any satellite. That doesn't mean you can recieve all those channels of course because some are Encrypted. For instance. The Sky box will work on Astra 1 and be able to receive German, French etc channels. A Free to View System can view Astra 2 free to view channels such as BBC etc. There are literally thousands of channels out there.

Oh well being a mere female - I am not all that clued up on all these satellite thingymajigs but all I know is that we are finding loads of satellites at the flick of a switch on our remote control with our new system that we never found or even knew of on our old system. It comes up with a list that tells you what satellite you are on along with a menu of all the programmes and channels and the country. Thanks for the info though but we are still more than happy with our new system and we really like the fact that we can use Sky plus on this one too.
Thanks anyway.

I think the System is around £2,500 with everything including a Sky+ digibox, magic eye, 85cm dish and fitting. To upgrade they took our old system as part exchange and charged us £1000. So all in all they gave us £1500 back for our previous Oyster system and mini 12 volt digibox. I thought that was an excellent deal and we were more than happy.
By the way the Oyster set up we had before was excellent and we had no complaints - we just wanted to be able to use Sky+ and we needed the twin LNB version in order to do this. If you are not bothered about Sky+ then the cheaper system would be ideal.
If you want to check prices etc here is a link to their website

Not strictly true, you can get a special twin LNB that allows you to view satelites 6 degrees apart without changing the dish position ie usually Hotbird and Astra
