It could be as simple as that, I'll give it a whirl.

Bearing in mind how blinding bright is I suspect that it is just very sensitive on the CCD front, being too effective with the reversing lights on. Without the reversing lights I believe it would be a very effective night vision camera.

Your post prompted me to buy one at the time. It took 3 weeks to deliver but I have only just (3 days ago) fitted it!

It's a neat install, simple to fit and works well. It's my 2nd cam permanently on as a rear view mirror. Well worth the money.
