No. I was quoted £2250 plus £450 for installation and they needed the motorhome for two days.
In my case the decision was whether to spend that amount of money plus the cost of a new water tank or cut my losses and get rid of the motorhome. The vehicle was literally shaking itself to bits because the ride was so harsh. After a crack appeared in the roof when it was just eighteen months old it was returned to the supplier.

I didn't know you could get anything to fit at the front of the mercedes, when i looked into getting the vb full rear air they(vb air) said MB will not let anyone touch the front of their vehicle, due to safety concerns.

Hello Paul,

I think the Glide rite is four rear bags. Front remains the same.

Ch eers for that, i always wanted the Goldschmit catalogue in english. Seems a good price for the front mod, although to get front mod and full rear air you would be looking at aroung 5000 euros.

The only people I know that do an ALKO air suspension are AS Air Suspension at www.as-airsuspension.co.uk. They are very good and the system is operated by built in compressor so you can also use it to help level your van on site.

Hi,

We had a few mods done to our sprinter ealier this year. We have a 416 underpinning a 7.75M A class that is normally 4600Kg or thereabouts.

We had two additional leaves added each side on the rear axle and we had a replacement front spring fitted.

All the work was undertaken by Midland Motor Springs in Nottingham and it has revolutionised the handling and of our van. Far less body roll, no more "crashing" on the front end stops, we had almost no front suspension travel prior to the spring replacement, now we have about 1.5 inches before hitting the bump stops.

The rear end no longer sags, we get less body roll and the overall handling is much sharper and safer.

Obviously a slightly different approach to adding air, however, for our problems I felt that air was treating symptoms not the cause.

Midland motor springs source the front spring from Germany, not sure who the underlying supplier is, but we are really pleased will all the upgrades.

I have just started fitting Dunlop air suspension, looks like a good product with some good reports. Also they fit to AL-KO.
