Hello everyone. I am hoping to get hold of mt first motorhome in a few weeks, probably a Hymer b584/544 or similar. Appriximately, what mpg can I expect driven steadily with a Fiat 2.8 diesel. Thanks

Hi Rapide 561,
between 24-27 mpg average steady driving.
Hope this helps.

My Hymer 544 with 3,000 miles on the clock does just over 28mpg driven at 60mph or below on motorways and dual carriageways, and no more than 50 mph on normal roads. Around town 25mpg, on good runs 30+ mpg has been achieved. I drive in a relaxed manner but not necessarily for fuel economy so I reckon 30mpg would be within my reach if I put my mind to it.
