Hi All,

A few pics of a Church ruin we found when in France this week:

So you can get an idea of how ruined this once beautiful Church is. That tree is so amazing growing out of the wall!

This picture seems to work better than the next one.

But I reckon when I go back I will make sure the tripod is at the ready and take this one at a much larger aperture so both windows are in focus!

These last two images should give you some idea of the size of this building.

The door must be about 8ft tall ish.

Taken by Eleanor

Not the best pictures, I hope you can see what excited me when we stumbled across this Church. Had about 20 minutes and soooo want to go back for a day!

Regards

Chris

Hi,

Err, it is the photography section of the forum, where we post and share photos! I guess you are not a photographer then?

Best regards

Chris

What a waste of a fine building.

I particularly like the glimpses of the interior stained glass through the broken windows.

Err NO, I read posts not thread types, and yes I am into photo ography as it happens, but would only post a photo if it was relevant to a particular thread, As I take pics for my own enjoyment mainly not to post.
.

On the subject of cameras, when I use my Canon 400D with a Canon 300mm lens my shots always seem quite grainy, I always use max ISO and picture quality, and I've never printed them, but when viewed on my laptop, they look very grainy

Amazing shots - thank you...

It is incredible that all that 'architectural salvage' is still on the building. If it was here in the UK, it would have been picked clean by now.
