I have finally finished coding (and testing) MHFs new "My Forums" page. It has been tested in Firefox /Opera / Safari and IE

This page allows you to set how many recent posts (Capped at 40 due to performance implications) you see

You can also "Opt In" to the Subscribers bar to see the threads/posts listed for in there

So this should please those who want to see it (or not as the case may be Wink )

The page itself is low bandwidth, very low on graphics so fast to load and should please those who like simple / clean looks Wink

You can also batch opt out of some of a few of the Non motorhome forum sections i.e. Off Topic / Jokes / Subs Bar

This should please though who rather see more of the facts than the trivia

There is a forums quick jumpbox to take you to a selected forum section quickly and easily

DHTML first post preview is enabled (It isn't as clever as the code used in the main at a glance page and so doesn't do photos etc)

Mouseover highlighting is enabled also to make it easier to differentiate between the different rows as you pass down the page.

I have tried to please a number of different encampments on MHF, no doubt not successfully but please take a look

Thanks for this facility. I know lots of people enjoy off topic and the like and it certainly has its place but sometimes they dominate the top 40 and you have to search out the motorhome topics.

This will allow me to delve into non-motorhome topics when I have more time on my hands but only see motorhome threads on my quick visits to the site.

Thanks again.

Jed

Very Happy

Thanks, works ok for me and will definitely work very well for a quick dip into MHF but I echo justlooking's question, where will it be found on the menus? Pity the filters don't apply to "New Posts" but it should keep everybody happy?

Tick the boxes at the bottom of the page, very easy and quick to change too.

Dont know if it is an option that is available on this bit , but ive always found the option to go to the last post on a thread very useful , especially with the longer threads .
