hi there....
I try to start my engine but seems like the cylinders are stuck somehow. the starter engine work well but don't want to spin the crankshaft at all...what it can be ? the cylinder head ?
Sounds like the battery charge may be low and only has enough energy to turn the starter motor slowly, when this happens the starter bendix gear does not engage with the flywheel and all you hear is the starter whizzing /turning.

hi ..
I recently bought like this. the owner seas that it broke in the summer and did not have the time to fix it .
the engine is from '94 TD and it;s mounted on a mercedes 406 camper
right now I have like -10 outside it my be freeze also but did not work in the summer also .
I will put it on plug to heat up the oil ( here we have a heater that's goes in the oil tank and keeps the engine worm in a cold days)
