I filed court papers in March. In May they finally replied and sent an engineer at the beginning of June, who proved that it did not send me texts or work properly. I requested a stay of one month at the court to allow them time to settle - it is stayed until 5 August.
I wrote summarising the engineer's visit and asked for my money back. They still haven't replied despite chasing.
Lloyds TSB have also written to them requesting that they settle the sums outstanding, and have threatened them with costs.
I have been looking, and they are registered with stands at many many motorhome shows.
I am currently preparing a list of documents, a list of pre-action protocols, and filing the allocation questionaires, and sorting out witnesses to go to court to get my money back.
Honestly, I just DON'T UNDERSTAND - when you buy something, if it doesn't work you are entitled to your money back. I have been trying to get my money back since December and just don't understand why they are being like this.
I am tempted to write to all the shows that they are registered at and giving them details of this company, and asking if the shows really want someone there with this type of customer service.
But mostly, I am exhausted with all the letters to the court, to Lloyds and to the company, and now all the work I have to do to prepare the court case.
I highly recommend that NO ONE buys ANYTHING from ELECTRONICS WORLDWIDE - TRADE NAME FALCON SECURITY at any motorhome shows.
They are listed again at the NEC show in October and at the Western Motorhome Show in August. Is anyone going to the Western Motorhome Show? Fancy going up to them and asking them what their policy is on adhereing to the law and giving money back when they sell faulty products?
I am tempted to write to all the shows that they are registered at and giving them details of this company, and asking if the shows really want someone there with this type of customer service.
Done.
I have written to both shows, asking them what checks they make regarding the quality of their exhibitors.
I have written to the PR person for the NEC regarding my getting publicity in the national press about the perils of putting your trust in buying something at the NEC show from exhibitors who would seem to be giving some kudos from being at the show, when this is apparently not the case.
Who knows how to get an article in the national press? I will need to look up my journalist friends.

SO.... UPDATE
Friday was the deadline for settlement..... Lloyds TSB Bank PLC threatened Electronics Worldwide with costs (which would be extensive).
At the eleventh hour, EW said to me that they would collect the faulty product and then process a refund. But they could not send an engineer this week.
I worked really hard, and today I received a REFUND of the faulty product and the £60 COURT FEE, but NOT the interest also claimed under the court claim.
I have not received any apology. They obviously believe that if you buy a faulty product and complain that it is YOU being a pain.
I am still claiming against Lloyds TSB Bank for interest they charged me, and also interest against Electronics Worldwide.
But now, I am 90% back to where I was before I parted with my money at the show.
I would say to everyone that it is VERY HARD WORK to claim from this company if the product is faulty, and if anyone ever needs any help, please let me know - I'd be happy to help.
And now, I shall be looking for a new tracker! At last!
I am back where I started. I am sure they somehow think I was a trouble maker - but I just wanted a working product, that's all - and I would totally encourage everyone to make sure you buy everything on a credit card, and to stick to your guns.
After much difficulty, I finally was able to get the full court claim settled out of court, after coming home and allowing them to take back the tracker.
It has taken AGES...... AND MUCH STICKING TO MY GUNS
I did suggest at some point that they could consider saying "sorry" but it seems that they think that if they supply me with something which doesn't work, and I say so, then I am the trouble maker.
Anyway, if anyone ever needs any moral support in suing someone, and what to do, I now have plenty of experience.
À tous mes amis du forum thankyou pour toutes vos pensées agréables et avec son amour derrière moi je lutterai contre mon conflit avec un esprit de postive et le triomphe
