I have a Steca mppt 2010 one, bought from aire and sun, cost £223.00. Works very well, although i havn't bothered getting specific figures. I run x2 BP 80W solars through it. I also run a 120w one through a normal regulator, was advised not to mix different wattage ones through the same regulator.
Fitted 80w panel earlier this year and used a cheap regulator which came free with panel, during summer unit didn't perform particularly well even in France with lots of sun. Decided to invest in a MPPT controller and early indication is positive even during recent weather showing .3 amp going into battery. This is the ebay link if interested.
I too fitted a 80watt panel this year. Below is a link to a 15A MPPT controller at £54.99. I used the same model (except mine was a 10A unit). Works well.
Are these panels any different to the £600 you see on MH websites? They seem to weigh the same and one I looked at was wind rated to 60m/s that is 135 mph.
I might try a free standing 80 watt setup. The panel is only 1.1m x 0.6m so would be easy to set towards the midday sun or evening sun.
You need to check the construction details carefully, however Solar PV panels in the UK seem to cost a lot more than they do eslewhere. I am tempted at less than £60 to give that MPPT controller a try.
You get what you pay for cheaper panels are normally chinese and not very good but i will stand corrected by the ones that know all about solar panels.

That really is a good price at £149.45 - I paid £170 for a 80watt panel last month.
These panels appear to be the same as those costing £600 fitted.
I've looked at them at all the Motorhome shows and are astonished that people pay these prices - ok, I supose if you can't fit your own, but their prices for diy kits are still silly. My panel is also Chinese and I suspect that most of the 'Branded' solar panels are also manufactured in China.
