On FTA satellite, can you tell me please why we have lost certain TV channels please? For example, we tune into ITV Central, but instead of getting news closer to home, (East Midlands), we are getting news from Worcester area, (West Midlands). It's the same for BBC East, ie, we get news from the other end of the East Anglia, and not applicable to our area.
Thanks in advance,
Jock.

Jock,
Are you using FTA satellite through a generic box or are you using any of the services such as freesat or Sky.
If you are using freesat or Sky through the dedicated box then the input of your postcode will allocate the regional news services according to the terrestrial broadcasting standards.
If you are using a generic FTA box then I cannot help you as you will need to tune to the correct broadcast stream for the service that you need.

Thank for getting back to me Gerry.
Yes, it's a Technomate FTA box. I do have the ITV Central (E) and (W) as well as the BBC East (E) and (W) programmed in, but the ones I want to watch come up as subscription channels, so they must be the ones linked to BBC/ITV Freesat and Sky Freesat.
Oh well, I'll just have content myself to watch someone else's local news and weather then.
Cheers for now,
Jock.
