This depends quite a lot on where the site is and what facilities it provides. A farmer making a bit out of redundant turkey sheds might charge less than an all-singing site which was purpose built.

Look here:

http://www.cassoa.co.uk/

and use their search facility. They do guarantee a minimum standard of security.

The Camping and Caravanning Club and the Caravan Club both have storage facilities though I have not seen an undercover one. Local caravan sites might also have some provision. Ask, when you look at sites, what their provision for access is; can you get to your van when you want to without appointment if that matters to you.

Thanks Grzizly

Yes the van is stored in a farm building and has basic facilities, but secure.

I park & store our motorhome on a farm under cover which has just received CASSOA bronze status & it costs £120 per 6 months with access anyday between 8am & 5pm . . . a lot of dosh but [hopefully] its a lot safer than parked in the street outside our house

Hello,

I pay £300 a year for CASSOA Gold storage just outside Edinburgh. Not the best service with regard to access but very secure....except for a few mice!

Wow.. you guys are getting great bargains. I pay over £700 per year for secure outside storage.
Granted, I use up more space but even sooo Shocked Glad I'm leaving next year Rolling Eyes
Average around here is about £10 / week
Another thing I discovered, some storage sites only take caravans, something to do with insurance.. Rolling Eyes

Hello Jim,

I pay £420 per annum for CASSOA Gold storage undercover in NE Scotland.

Good point about the Caravans and Insurance. This is a problem I have had in trying to get insurance cover to allow the site staff to move the Sundance in and out of the storage area (Valet Parking). Not all storage sites have cover for driving customers vehicles and therefore only allow caravans unless you can arrange cover to allow them to drive your vehicle ie., Any Driver Cover - expensive when added to storage charges.

Posted an item about this on this forum and received no replies to date.

Regards,

Mike.

Hi to all

In a large secure shed with around 50 other MHs, caravans, and a few boats, basic lighting, with 240 volt power, for battery charger and using power tools, access any time provided 24 notice is given, no keys issued, but opened up on arrival for access, nice thing was, as this was 40 miles from my home I could stay in the MH for a few days when working on it, cost 2003-2004 = £20.00 + vat per calendar month,

At the same place 2004-2005 = £21.00 + vat,

Evil or Very Mad 2005 no longer available Rolling Eyes

Very Happy This week found a place 4 miles from the house, a tall garage (ex squash court) about 10 mtr x 6 mtr and high, lighting/power, secure, dry, wind and water tight, I only have a parking place not the whole garage, to work on the MH access any time but phone the night before, cost £25.00 cash per calendar month,

I drove it down on thursday night in a wind speed gusting 75 mph.

Phheeewwww

Colin R......

Does anyone know of anywhere near High Wycombe. I am currently paying £100pcm to park my double decker on a local farm. Seems a bit steep considering what you have all said, even considering the size.
