Been out shopping today to load up the van with the necessary equipment....

I started with a list to include pots, pans, cutlery etc etc

It is my intention to leave all that type of stuff in the van and not be moving things from the house and so on.

Is there anything that any of you experienced folks have though "damn, I wish I had a ......."

I placed a cork screw at the top of the list!

Paper plates.
For what they cost they can be made to last all day if you are on sandwiches and salad and then just dump them in the trash.Wouldn't try a cooked/gravy meal but I suppose they would be OK.Saves washing up.

Hi Rapide, I have a checklist of 'essential items' it has 208 items on it Exclamation Exclamation
I've built it up over the years and each trip note a couple of 'wish I'd brought that' items. I also very occasionally delete items I no longer need and then next trip wish that I had them. Sad

208 items seems an awful lot.......

So far I have the cork screw and two glasses

I guess the house will need the "wants list" and the Compass will have anything and everything

A skillet seems to turn up in just about every conversaion

I still don't know what one is/looks like but I seem to think my Nan had one.

Am I too young for all this at 33?

Hi Rapide 561

A complete set of toiletries to live in the MH, pack of low cost baby wipes, for cleaning inside & outside, if you have carpet a small hard bristle scrubbing brush, measure up one of the small lockers then with tapemeasure in hand buy some of the plastic containers that give a tight fit, and always carry 4 - 5 rolls of soft kitchen towel, handy to force into the small spaces and stop the rattles, tops to fit the unfinished wine bottle, however with good planning you will not have any unfinished wine Laughing

Have a good time
Colin
