How do you create an Album ?

http://www.motorhomefacts.com/modules.php?name=gallery

Click on the Photo Gallery link on left hand navigation Options, or the link above. Once the page has loaded, click on the Members and their Motorhomes album. Now click the "New nested Album" link on the top right of the page. You can then click on the "rename album" link on the top right, this doesn't actually change the name you see for your album as you would have thought, but instead changes the folder name on the webserver for your album. Thats it, now all that remains is to name the album as follows:- Click on the "Properties" link again on the top right, change the "Album Title" to your name / motorhome type etc then click "Apply". If you wish to add photos see below.

· How do you add Photos to my album ?
Follows the steps for creating an album Here then click the "Add photos" link on the top right of the page, this will produce a pop up browser window with browse buttons that allow you to choose the pictures from your pc that you wish to upload. Fill in a short descriptive caption for each photo and then click the "Upload" button. Thats it Smile

· How do i rename my album to something more fitting like my username ?

This is confusing as to rename the album you actually have to click on the dropdown section below the album and choose the option "Edit Title"

The rename album choice actually renames it in the url but not on the screen i.e. if i had an album called album17 with this url

http://www.motorhomefacts.com/modules.php?set_albumName=album 17&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php

and i renamed the album to mhalbum the url becomes

http://www.motorhomefacts.com/modules.php?set_albumName=m halbum&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php

but the album would still be shown as Untitled !!

This doesn't work. I seem to have managed to make several 'untitled' albums but can't change the name. Clicking on 'Properties' does nothing; I don't get 'Album Title', there is no 'Apply' button.

The instructions are confusing and don't do what they say... help appreciated ... in simple English please ..

Thanks for the speedy response. and the simple English. Very Happy Yes, I did have a popup blocker ( doesn't everyone? )
If you put in an instruction to 'disable pop up blocker', *then* the instructions would work. Wink

Have now uploaded some pics; but my album is still 'untitled' even though I have changed the name ..........

"Click on the link to left of screen Motorhome Photos, under Members Only "

Ok. Can we start with how to get to the page that you are refering to please?

When I log on I see all the forum headings. Can you instruct me from that page please to the one you are referring to.

Regards

Shen

Yes I read your link, yes I clicked on it and no I cant read it. Hence my question.

Others will no doubt say if they can or cannot see what it is you are showing me or think you are, but on this installation, offshore, with a VERY slow satelite link it is unreadable.

I will leave it until I am ashore next week and back on BB.

I did a lecture once on Honeybee Queen Rearing. Two hours long, in great and specific detail. Afterwrds a student approached me and asked a q. I then realised that by omitting a basic step, one that I took totally for granted the whole two hours had flown over this chaps head.

Thanks for your help though,

Regards,

Shen
