hi friends
In a bit of a dilemma. Have 3 weeks holiday from 19th May and are still unsure where to go. This will be our first tour in our new Motorhome with our dog and on paper we have toured the whole of Europe and then some. Travelling in Europe is not an issue as I am a truck driver with continental experience.
We need to end up in Normandy for the about 4th June so we are there for the D-Day celebrations on the 6th and we are booked on the train home on the 8th.
We can't decide whether to undertake a grand tour and cover ground incorporating Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland and France or stick to France, Spain and Portugal.
We want to see scenery, some sun, maybe the mountains and a beach so my wife can have a rest.
Has anyone any thoughts that will help us decide?

Shuggy,
Personally I'd spend 3 weeks poodling round a region of a country rather than a grand tour. Depends on whether you want to spend the 3 weeks driving or relaxing!
If you want to end up in Normandy then why not spend your holiday along the north coast of France. OK so you won't see many mountains but the towns/villages are great and there are loads of nice places to stay.
Have fun!
Bill

If it were my three weeks then I would be getting the Santander ferry to Northern Spain and skirt about there, maybe taking in the top part of Portugal Smile

Current MH is Compass Calypso on VW T4. Last one was Autosleeper Trooper on a T4 and before that two VW T2 campers - you get the idea...? Smile
