could this product be used as a filler point for the refillable bottles, instead of the hose, for those who like me have no way to fit an external filling point.would take less room than a coiled stainless steel hose and connecter. It would still mean we would have to open the locker to do this though.I believe the safefill bottle is similar to this.
But I certainly would not recomend this item for refilling ordinary gas bottles.

Hi Cabby
The connection would need an adapter as the end of the unit is for the Calor bottle.
Watching the clip on Dave's link, it is noticeable that Les Pompieres y kept well away, wisely since there was no threat to other people or buildings in that location, but might have been a hard decision to stand aside had there been a threat, Might have needed massive foam canon capability, as aircraft fire, to contain it.
Thank you cabby for explaining this to the member, i just cant be bothered
I thought I asked a perfectly reasonable question since the post meerly informs us that the item is on Ebay but does not tell us why that fact should, or might be of interest and I don't see that I have given cause for offence I certainly intended none.
Cabby tells us that these items are dangerous, I wonder if that might have been the reason for the post, as warning, as it were. Or was it a recommendation, and it may have been as there are some people who would use the device for filling ordinary bottles. we still don't know,
Perhaps, if I am deemed unworthy of a reply Penguin might be graced with one, if Kezbea can be bothered.
Saturday exchange my BP Gaslight 10 kg cylinder at Homebase
(Caravan Club 10% on weekend), had to rush to avoid the snow at home on Sunday morning checked the cylinder, less than half full.
Phoned up the Homebase store, manager struggled to be interested ?.
The regulator brass 27mm coupling is tarnished with no signs of attachment, cylinder supplied in a dirty state.
With this attitude and £1.50 a litre I am suprised they do any business.
Interestingly a (French) motorhome has just come into the campsite I am at (in Portugal) with extensive blistered and blackened paintwork around and above his gas bottle locker!!!
I have just bought one of these and believe I am intelligent enough to use it safely.
There is just one question I need to ask.
Can you smoke while filling the bottle?
No, but I'm sure there's somewhere to stow the ciggie on top of the gas bottle while you're filling

As far as I know, the only motorhoming Oxford United supporter in Bognor.
as has allso been said many times if used as intended ie only refill an empty bottle with the quoted amount of gas there is no danger whatsoever. danger of overfilling is not of bottle damage, it is impossable to fill to excess pressure it is about leaving a 20% air space in bottle so that you only draw off gas & not liquid(as you would to run an engine). anyone with half a brain can do this perfectly safely anyone below this level or unsure of principals involved should leave well alone, but such hysteria as this subject invokes from ignorant and uninformed opinion is stupid. i doubt anyone would buy one if they did not understand the principals. a bit like wilding really some like most abhor. regards dave
