Hi everyone, just returned from a very enjoyable holiday, Cheddar Gorge, New Forest, Weymouth & Wales, the only problem we had was tv reception, we had a plain indoor arial and couldnt get a decent picture at all, can anyone reccomend a decent arial that wont break the bank, on a different note if you travel Wales keep your tank filled up, we had a panic on as we travelled miles and miles without seeing a petrol station, we found one just before we ran out,. cussing

Hi,
We use this one when the status doesn't want to pick up a signal (which is most of the time) It goes on a mast mounted on the bike rack, and we can set it up through the rear window. Always gives us a good picture.

We have had four Soundex aerials and they are excellent,they supply the pole too to put them through the roof,everything you need is included templates etc.

Lesleylil and storeman got one at Peterborough Show,i spoke to Lesley today and hers is perfect.

To view TV in difficult reception areas you need a directional aerial, you can pay well over £100 for a roof mounted or buy one that you can either strap onto a rear ladder or mount using suckers.
The former is quicker and more convenient to set up but expensive, in my experience cost has never been related to performance.
I recommend a Maxview, several models and can be purchased for about £30 and will give good reception.

Thanks everyone for your replies with advice, most of the arials are a bit big for our van as it is only small, we would prefare an inside one, maybe I should have said that first, I have been looking at the compact one that folds away, has anyone tried these?, the one we have been using was 99p from pound shop, good picture in some places, well I suppose you get what you pay for and for 99p worth a try, thanks, Anne Smile
