| hi having trouble telling whether arthurs tyres are right - have had conflicting advice - garage where service was done picked up no probs but then asked somewhere else to be told one tyre was not commercial ( ie not legal) - can anyone tell me how mitchelin marks their commercial tyres - this one is marrked 185 xc |

Michelin's XC are Camping tyres. They are supposed to be designed especially for M/Homes.

They are designed to carry a heavier weight and consequently are rated at a higher pressure which I think is 85psi, rather than the normal 65psi. But do make sure your other tyres are 8 ply rating and nothing less.
You could take your vehicle to be weighed (whole vehicle, and each axle), then with the results you’ll be able to tell what safety margin you have between your actual weight and that specified as the maximum weight on each tyre.

this is a bit difficult becuase arthur is visiting Grandpa - who is carry out some odd jobs and so i am recieving imfo second hand |
