Hello, forgive the shouting (CAPITALS) but just wanted to try and belatedly catch your attention Rolling Eyes

The Kent County Showground this weekend has a "Jamboree Weekend" and quite a bit of Motorhome stuff going on there.....just wondered if anyone intending going or maybe already there.

Let me know if so as we are going to try and plough our way through the mud and traffic to get there as its only about 10 miles from us here.

Cheers
Maura

Hi Maura,
We had planned on going today, but, as we have the grandchildren (3 of Exclamation ), Rolling Eyes thought we would wait and see if the weather is any better tomorrow. We always pop up to this show as it is so close, but know that it is nothing like the other shows with lots of 'vans etc....do you know that it is run by Bromley Motorcaravans ? think it used to be better when it was held at Brands.
Let me know if you went today and what you thought.

Oh Blimey 3 of the little ankle biters, poor you, and with this weather as well you can't even hurl them out into the garden to play Sad

We also decided to wait till tomorrow for 2 reasons. Weather & traffic. Hoping both will be better tomorrow as we heard the queues to get in and out were horrendous today.

Really surprised about the Bromley Motorcaravan bit Exclamation

We have been there a couple of times in the search for our 1st van but heard that they had gone out of business. Also a chap who used to work (and trade) out of there lives near to us and he said the son of original owner now ran Kent Motorhomes at Bluebell Hill. So I am a bit confused about it all. Didn't the original owner who had been there for many years pass away? Bit wary of posting anything as you never know who you may be talking about - or upsetting Embarassed

Apologies to anyone if I have this info incorrect -its just what I heard.

Will PM you my phone number and perhaps we can catch up at the show tomorrow, would be nice to say hello Smile

Maura

Hi Ana
what a shame, sorry to hear about your hubby, hope he feels better soon.

Highwayman...how will we recognise you...will you be wearing a tricorn hat, mask and astride a black horse, singing "Stand and Deliver" a' la Adam Ant Laughing

I'll be the chubby lady in pink wellies Embarassed
Thats hoping the weather is a bit kinder than today.

Maura

Hi again, Just looked to see if your tel. no. was in my P.M. box but its not...so not sure if you haven't sent it yet or i've not received it. Did you get mine ?

Sorry..back to subject - you may be right about B.M'C as we haven't been there for probably 3 years....i know they used to run the show when it was first at Detling and definitely up until at least 2 years ago... maybe it changed last year, i just took it for granted it was still run by them....sorry for the mis-info if it is.

We have promised g.kids we will take them tomorrow if weather is not too bad.......they want to sleep in the m'home in our paddock tonight !!!... if we go i will call you. Will also look out for you Highwayman....hope there are not too many people wearing 'no fear' baseball caps !!!! You will hear me shouting at the g.kids !!!! (they are very good really)

Mary
