If like me you find it a bit of a pain having to keep long hosepipes when most of the time you only need a short one this idea may help.

I have two length of hose pipe, one is about 10Ft the other somewhat longer, one end of the short length has a bibcock connector on it for the taps, the other end has a 1/2in male BSP x hose tail held by a Jubilee clip onto which is screwed a 1/2ins x 15mm push fit connector this in turn has a short length of 15mm pipe pushed in it.

The longer of the two hoses has a similar arrangement on one end but without the 15mm pipe pushed in it.

To use, simply use the short pipe but extend it by pushing the two together when a longer one is needed.

Very simple, very effective, and it is so much easier to roll up a short pipe rather than a long one.

I use a filler pipe from a caravan aquaroll for those short stretches. I used to use a 25 metre hose all the time but the bore of the hose extended fill up times. So much that on one occassion I was able to go for a shower while filling the van up I left "she who must be obeyed" in charge of the hose. The aquaroll pipe is so fast now that I hear water overflowing before I get footsore.

The mention of a filler pipe from an aquaroll reminded me of another one though more usefull to caravanners rather than M/Homers, the convoluted hose for washing machines are different sizes at each end, cut them in half and they will fit most sizes of taps without worrying about adaptors.
