Kentucky Camp Estro 2 ….7 Berth, Side bunk beds

Hi everybody.

Having seen one of these at the Newbury show I was wondering if anybody has any views/comments or info.

I am aware these have only been around for about a year and I am struggling to find much info, apart from there website (http://www.kentuckycamp.co.uk/index.home.html).

All your replies on this one will be very much appreciated.

Thanks Homer

I bought a estro 7 d last year because at that time vehicles based on merc's there was not a lot of choice
I lived near brownhills at that time I called in and they didn't have time to talking to me unless i wanted to sign up there and then but the model I was interested in was not in stock only available to order (six months wait)
called at kentucky dealer in ipswich 30 in stock
I purchased a merc 316 with sprintshift plus extras
I have done 4,000 miles and i am very pleased
Only problem wife is not but i live in hope
But will sell if anybody is interested

Hi Kentucky,

Thanks for the reply.

You say you are pleased, what pleases you about these motorhomes and what does not please your wife.

Thanks Homer

my wife let me buy a camper but wishes she haid said no
we use to live in the midlands and we both though it would give us a social life but now we have moved back to sussex where friends and family live
i like the kentucky because it was a least £12k cheaper than an autotrail
it is based on a merc 316 with sprintshift and i spent 20 years in the motortrade and i just cound not buy a fiat but only personal choice
maybe i should of bought the autotrail as it is a none name but i think the build quality is as good but maybe a bit uglier bit £12k looks quite nice only time will tell
we are going to france in september and if we have still got it spain in the winter
regards to all

Hi Kentucki,

Thanks for the reply, I was tempted myself over the weekend by one of these, mainly by the layout of the motorhome on a transit.

I must say the quality looked pretty good for a motorhome in this price range.

I had a few concerns, high level oven with no grill, lack of storage lockers, and as you commented the unknown brand.

I decided to walk away and think about it, the dealer does not take p/x so I had to decide whether to sell mine private or trade. Have now decided to take more time and not let these shiny new motorhomes tempt me.

Hope you enjoy you trip to France and Spain.

Thanks Homer

Thanks Kentucky,
I suspected as much, I have pictures of the Rimor 727 and only noticed last night how similar they looked.

Homer Very Happy
