dont forget that most motor homes have some type of drainage system for both hot and cold for the cold winter months to avoid frozen and cracked pipes...If as you state your water tank drain was open then perhaps your water feed drains have been left open.In my van they are under the sink but evey motor home has different placs...Try follow the pipes and look for any type tap, drain, twist type valve or anything that looks different. Most are quite obviuos when you actually find them.If they are open or even patially open they will draw in air and you will not get a good flow.If they are closed then keep pumping as it can take a good few minutes to get rid of all the air before water comes through.DO NOT turn on the hot water heater ubtil you are happy there is a good flow through as otherwise you will damage the heater unit....HOPE THIS HELPS...

thanks jim our problem was that an outlet for boler had been left open so all the water just drained out from underneath van. we did what you said about the whole system and it seems to work fine.

I sure I would have been one of the first persons to have wasted their money on a new tank if this mishap had happened to me, it just shows what a bit of perseverance and help can do.

This accident has happened to so many people that this remedy has to be remembered for future use
