I have just returned from Germany with my New Hymer 614 automatic very pleased The 614 is a lot bigger then my last Motorhome so I thought it would be a good idea to bring back 2 mopeds from Holland these are allot smaller than the scooters we sell here lighter and cheaper.They are Tomos Quadro e-start models 49cc and go about 50ks an hour so far easy! Now comes the hard part I tried to get insurance for these bikes and no body has a listing for these in the uk I have been in touch with a big company Bennets they put me through to their specalist dept and they have no listing Then they asked me if a dealer was in the uk I said no And they informed me that if their was no Dealer I would not be able to insure the bikes. Has anyone got any information that might be of help.
So much for the EU I have all the paperwork CoC ect

I don't know wether this helps but,
I saw TOMOS mopeds being used by the Caravan Club marshals on the national rally.
I took a double take on them for exactly the same reason as you. Wink

I can't say which model they were though. Embarassed

Perhaps you can phone the CC and ask where they got theirs from. Idea

I have phoned the CC club they were very helpfull yes they do use Tomos bikes but only on private land not on the road. They were suprised I can,t get insurance.
