Hi,

Will be arriving in Zeebrugge next Friday at noon, and are hoping to make our way towards Ypres. Anybody know of camp sites en route that we could book into for our first night? Also, what camp site would anybody reccomend for staying outside of and visiting Paris?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Tansy

its only about 50 miles so should not take you to long to get there. There is a camp site just outside the ramparts (Lille Gate entrance)to the town

VZW Jeugdstadion
Leopold III Laan 16
8900 Ieper
Belgium
0032 57 21 72 82

My brother stayed there earlier this year and said it was just acceptable (I presume you want to be within walking distance of the town?)

dont forget to visit the Menin Gate at 8 o'clock each evening

regards

Geoff

Having done this route a few weeks back I'd highly recommend the aire at Brugge, free and just a short stroll into town.

My trip thread has a link to a site for Paris, we didn't stay there as we were at Disney instead. Disney is an option as it has a train connection direct to the centre of Paris.

Thanks to Geoff and 2point for your replies. At least it is a starting point.

Useful thread from 2point. I see that you paid over £600 for your trip on the Rosyth ferry.
There are 2 of us with 6.5 m long and 3.5m high m/h going one way c/w 2 berth outside cabin for £210. ( The booking voucher says cabin, although we didn't actually order a cabin). This was booked through Caravan and Camping Club, and compares with £369 through Superfast.

I think our price was so much as it was the first weekend of the schools summer holiday up here. I'll look at the CCC next time though, thanks.
