On some open sites I'm reluctant to use the satelite dish when its too windy for any length of time.I permenately fixed the top 6" of one of the poles to the arm on the dish by hacksawing the tube 4 ways & bending them out like 4 legs.I drilled the small hole thro the tube that the spring button pops into & again at 90 degrees to that so I had 4 holes that the button could pop into facing any direction.I can now mount the 1 meter pole with the aereal onto that & rotate it thro 360 degrees to pick up the signal without getting outside in the cold or rain.Trust you can make sense of that!!! I remove it when the wind drops but leave the short bit on the dish.
