I believe that one of those "defoliating net thingies" you hang in the shower works well

If you have a van who calls on businesses around your way selling cleaning chemicals etc ask them if they sell the 1 that bus companys buy to clean the traffic film off.Its a blue liquid ,looks a bit like windscreen wash. You need about half a cup to a bucket of hot or cold water.Wipe over the bonnet & give it a couple of minutes then do it again & it will all come off.Ive used it for years on my taxis & bus, fantastic stuff & costs about £10 for 4 ltrs it'll last a lifetime.I'm not too sure about any effect it would have on the joints that are sealed with mastic although Ive done my own Laika with it a cou[ple of times ,it dont appear to have done any harm but it really brings cars up like new especially if they are white. You dont need anything else in the water with it.

A bit of old net curtain and some soapy water (not washing up liquid) works for me. Very Happy
