We have been looking on the site of the Grand- bornand i now it is low down in the mountains so will they have snow for xmas and good sking conditions if so then this could be better for us then les-gets has anyone been over xmas before sking

Was at Grand -bornand in May/Jun 2004, traveling via Annacy, stayed at the camp site in Grand-bornand for a few days, nice place, was warned by the tourist office, not to travel north to Cluses (the D4) as this road had only just opened and was being cleared, when askes about the other road from St-jean-de-sixt to le Petit-Bornand-les-Glieres and on to St-Pierre and Bonneville (D12) the lady asked what car I had, when told a MH of 6 mtr and 2.3 wide she advised going back via Annacy, and stated it was OK for small MHs the size of a transit van, as people often travel south on this road, but do not go back the same way !!!!
As for snow, the tops of the hills still had snow, and yes a place I would return to
