We are just about to buy our new M/H costing £26000) and the dealer is recommending taking out extended warranty thru' Customer Protect. They are quoting £400 total for the extra 2 years (i.e, yrs 2 & 3).
It seems fairly comprehensive - van and mechanicals, and can be transferred on change of ownership.

Has anybody taken out one of these extra warranties?
Are they worth the paper they are written on?
Are they good value?

Would appreciate anybodys valued comments before we commit?

have found that most of these warranties are an insurance policy, in the small print it says that it does not cover for fair wear and tear.have you read the small print to see what it does not cover instead of other way round, you could get a nasty surprise.does the chassis manufacturer offer extended warranty ( fiat/ford/Vww etc).if so go for that, then see how much the warranty is for the habitation side.
let us know which way you go.
