Might not be the solution if damaged or dangerous but worth a look.

Hi all,

Had a look at ours today to find an oval plate on each axle. As well as serial No's the plates read..."BTH 1800" and underneath that, it reads "1500kg".

Does anyone know what BTH 1800 stands for?

Jock.

JockandRita

the only Alko axles listed (up to middle of last year) were BT, BTR1, BTR1.5, BTR2 (air suspension), BTR3, CA3 and CA4 (air suspension), I can find no listing of a "BTH". I note that you have a Hymer, I wonder if it's peculiar to that van only? or could you possibly have miss-read it?

Hi KenS,

With my eyes going the way they are, misreading it is highly likely. Laughing Laughing Laughing .

So, with a 500 candle power lamp in hand, and a pair of specs hanging off the end of my beak, I am off to have another look. I might even take a pen and some paper this time. Wink

Jock.

Just been and done that.

You were right KenS, sorry. Embarassed

The plates read BTR 1800, 279822 B and 279442 E.

They also read A 99876170 and A 99876141.

Jock.
