Hi all,
Having moved up to the league of the big boys and now feel a requirement for more security i am trying to work out which alarm/tracker system to fit as my EuraMobil 690 only comes with the standard Fiat immobiliser.
Safeguard have offered me a 10% premium discount if i have a tracker fitted and have suggested either the Phantom or Tracker Horizon but dont mind which i choose.
I have read the posts on here saying that the 'real' thieves no how to disable these units which is a concern, but surely they have some value as they advertise very high recovery rates. I appreciate the argument 'do i want it back after it has been stolen' but would rather it not go in the first place !! LOL
Anyway, advice would be appreciated. Also, if you have had one fitted, where and by what company ? Could you/Would you recommend them ?
Thanks

Mark,
I have used Tracker Monitor for 9 years:
http://www.tracker.co.uk/home.php?SVR/Works/monitor
I think it fair to say I've been the most proactive at cautioning the reliance on GPS tracker systems, for the reason you point out. However, the fact remains that thieves in general DON'T defeat the GPS systems, despite it being easy to do.

I use an Alarmtrail unit whch has proved very good. It sends a text message via your mobile if the vehicle is being interfered with.
Have a look at
www.alarm-trail.com
You can also track the vehicle on
www.followus.co.uk
Much cheaper than a tracker. |

I have decided on the Phantom tracker, the firm were good to deal with and are coming out to my home to fit the unit next week.
