Can anyone tell me if it is possible to send a text message to more than one mobile at a time.

What I have been asked and do not know the answer is, if lets say 10 mhf members are travelling to spain all around the same time and following a simular route can you send one text to all nine to give them a message.

Hope this make some sense.

Bob

Hi

You can!

Well - phone dependant - some will allow you to send to ............. and then add another

Others wil allow you to send to all

You can also save the message after typing it, send it and then "get" it again and "forward" it to another

And even if the phone doesn't, but can link to a Pocket PC via IR or BT, the PPC can do it.

Thanks for info Russell, Stew and Dave I will have a go and see if my network allows me to do it, I have a motorola on orange payg but I use a french sim card in my old phone in france then put in a spanish sim when in spain.

I use Skype to call the UK when "over there" and anyone calling me has my 2 numbers for france and spain so it don't cost me for incoming.

Hi

If you are using an old phone, maybe you could just have the 10 relevant numbers in the memory, then send the text as a "SEND TO ALL"

Bob,
Some let you save a group of phone numbers as
Group
Friends
Folder
Profile
It will probably be one of these, but could be something else
anyway save the phone no's you want as a group in one of the above the when sending text send that folder/profile or?
Hope you understand what i mean?

Steve

Hi
Yes I think my old Nokia 6310i does that Steve. You set up a group and then you can send texts to the group and everyone stored in that group will get the text....
Sounds like a plan we have here then....

HI

The 6310i was imho the best phone ever made. Maybe did not have all the features available now but to the business man it did everything.

I had one when I was employing a number of people. I used to text them all using the group feature with the days targets before I went to work hard on the golf course Very Happy.

The group text feature part of the above is accurate even if the golf course bit is not quite Laughing
