Transleisure are marketing a device called Level-Tronic, its main purpose when on site is to Level up your van. Which is why I've opted to fit it to my new Motor home which has a tag axle.
However it has a secondary purpose which I think is as important if not more important, and that is to stop thiefs from driving my precious motor home away if the jacks are down. The jacks are operated by small electric motors which in turn are controlled by a remote controller which can be locked in the safe when your away from the van. Although the system is a bit pricey at around £2000 I think against the price of a new motorhome its well worth a consideration. http://www.transleisure.co.uk/leveltronic/index.html

Is there a safety lock which prevents you attempting to drive away whilst the jacks are down?

On a front wheel drive with the back end lifted you would make a mess of something if it was possible to drive away Sad

Just a thought

Hi Gillian,

from the web site it say's "An added benefit is security. The engine can't be started with the feet on the ground meaning that your motorhome can not be driven off."

Hi. Its a good idea, as long as you have security lock nuts on your wheels. Otherwise you have just presented an opertunist thief six wheels and tyres and they didn't even have to get into a sweat jacking it up onto bricks.

Hope the cost comes down one day, I have security lock nuts of two different types on each wheel.

Hi Saphire
I take your point, but I would only jack up the van to level it when on site.
When parking I'd lower the jacks to the point when they just touch the ground that way my wheels remain firm to the ground. The system can be used in both auto and maual mode. However, thanks for raising the point as now I'll add a security locking nut on each wheel, Just to be sure to be sure
Many thanks Wobby

No BUT in the morning, when frying eggs, you can, by clever use of the East - West buttons baste the egg without the need to use a spatula..... look in the cooking tips section Laughing Laughing

it can also be used to shake Martinis if you prefer that to stirred ones

It's OK Wobby ..I am only jealous ..I would love to have the system on my van.

Had a look at the website, but info is scant.

Where did the price of £2,000 come from? Does that include vat and fitting?

Now, more importantly, is it suitable for a 34ft RV?

TIA
Bryan
